The Isle of Wight has much beautiful woodland and you can view and learn about many fine trees by following these wonderful Histree Trails.

The Kings and Dragons Histree Trail is 16.3km
(10.1 miles) long. The trail begins at Carisbrooke
and ends in Brighstone. It presents a moderately
challenging walk. There are stiles and gates to
negotiate, some steep inclines and descents.
The trail may also be muddy in places.

The Cascading Canopies Histree Trail is 2.8km
(1.75 miles) long. The trail begins and ends at
the Plane Tree beside Park Road car park. This
trail is an easy, accessible walk, following mostly
street trees and hard surfaces throughout. There
is one short, steep incline with some steps to
ascend.

The East Cowes Histree Trail is 4.2km (2.6
miles) long. The trail begins and ends at the
Umbrella Tree in the heart of the town. This trail
presents an easy, accessible walk, highlighting
mostly street trees and hard surfaces
throughout.

The Poets and Pines Histree Trail is 6.3km (3.9
miles) with an extra bit to Farringford of 1.3km
(0.8 miles). The trail begins and ends at School
Green in the centre of the town. The trail
presents an easy walk, mostly maintaining hard
surfaces. There are some stiles and gates to
negotiate, with gentle inclines and descents. The
trail may also be muddy and uneven underfoot
on some of the public footpaths.

The Champions and Churchyards Histree Trail
is a linear trail 6.4km (4 miles) long. The trail
begins at Carisbrooke Castle and ends at
Medina Arboretum, Newport. This trail is an
easy, accessible downhill walk, following mostly
street trees with mainly hard surfaces
throughout.

The Venerable Oaks Histree Trail is 8.9km (5.5
miles) long. The trail begins and ends in
Playstreet Lane on the outskirts of Ryde. The
trail presents a moderate walk with some stiles
and gates to negotiate. The trail may also be
muddy and uneven underfoot in places.

The Groves and Gardens Histree Trail is 5.2km
(3.2 miles) long with an optional extension of
1.9km (1.2 miles). The trail begins and ends at
Tower Cottage Gardens, Chine Avenue in
Shanklin Old Village. The shorter version
presents an easy, accessible walk, mostly on
hard surfaces. There are some stiles and gates
to negotiate, with some steep inclines and
descents on the extended route.

The Legends and Landscapes Histree Trail is
6.6km (4.1 miles) long with an optional shorter
route of 4km (2.5 miles). The trail begins and
ends at the Bull Ring in Brading Town Centre. It
presents a fairly easy walk. There are some
stiles and gates to negotiate, with mostly gentle
inclines and descents. The trail may also be
muddy and uneven underfoot in places.
