Known in medieval times as "The King's Forest", Parkhurst is one of the oldest recorded forests in the country. It was here that oak trees grew tall and provided timber for wooden warships. Our cycle route combines an easy section of the Cowes to Newport cycleway and a circular tour of the forest.
