Norton Beach
Situated between Fort Victoria and Yarmouth, Norton beach is the only stretch of coastline in this area which is suitable for swimming. It is accessible by harbour ferry and has limited car parking.
Fort Victoria to the west has a cafe, planetarium and sealife centre. Here is the narrowest stretch of sea which separates the Island from the mainland and it has magnificent views of Hurst Castle. The tide is very fast here and although it is not safe for bathing the area incites much fishing interest.
