Cowes Beach
Being a world famous yachting town Cowes is a great place to relax and watch the sailing. Princes Esplanade runs along the beach giving visitors magnificent views of the Solent and viewpoint telescopes are situated at various points. This area is home to many of the Islands premier sailing clubs and there is always plenty of river traffic to watch including the Red Funnel and Red Jet which bring people to the Island. Situated along the Esplanade is a cafe and a pub as well as ice-cream shops and hotels. There is on road parking and public toilets. Island cruises run from this beach in the summer months and there are many gift shops where visitors can purchase hand made Island souvenirs. The beach has easy access, the town is very close and visitors can take a seaside walk along the esplanade to Gurnard.
